Art collector from New York, who prefered to remain unknown, returned to President Aleksander Kwaśniewski a 16th century sculpture Head of a Youth, carved by an Italian artist Giovanni Maria Mosca, known as Padovano. The American collector purchased the sculpture last year at an auction in Zurich. After the examination of the piece, he established that it once belonged to the National Museum of Warsaw and was subsequently looted by the Nazis in 1944.
