in the United States successfully accomplished
| On May 30th, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland his
Excellency Przemysław Grudziński said farewell to his colleagues and friends and
departed from Washington D.C. ending his successful mission.
He presented his credentials to President Clinton in September 2000. Previously he held the position of the Under-Secretary of State in the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Minister of National Defense and the Director of the Bureau of Research for the Sejm (Parliament) respectively. The years he spent in the United States were very important for Poland. It was during his posting that Poland joined EU. Ambassador Grudziński was well known for his professionalism and wisdom. As Ambassador he w as admired by both Americans and Poles. His work helped to strengthen bilateral relations with the United States and enabled Poland to play an important role in the transatlantic dialogue. His great personality and human approach was well known among his many Polish and American friends as well as the staff at the Polish Embassy.Przemysław Grudziński has accepted the position of a professor at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies at Garmisch – Partenkirchen in Germany . |
