October 27 – 19.00 (Kennedy Center) : Opening Night Performance.of “Madama Butterfly”. Exhibition “Olbiński and the Opera”. October 29 – 18.00 (Polish Embassy/Georgetown University) presentation of the documentary titled “Tamtego 1989 roku” and meeting with the author – Jolanta Chojecka. October 30 – 19.00 ( Polish Embassy ) : “Amerykanka w Warszawie “ (“ An American in Warsaw”) book promotion and meeting with the author Helen Davis. Introduction – Jan Nowak Jeziorański. November 4 : (Towson University) Music and Democracy – tribute to Ignacy J. Paderewski – pianist, composer and statesman - conference and concert.. November 5 – 20.00 ( GW Lisner Aucitorium ) concert dedicated to I. J. Paderewski performed by the Polish chamber orchestra “ Sinfonia Varsovia “ with Janusz Olejniczak piano, conducted by Jerzy Maksymiuk. November 6 – 19.00 (Polish Embassy) : “ Ten years of ThePolish Library in Washington “. Encounter with the Library’s founders, followed by a lecture on the role of similar Polish institutions abroad, delivered by Michał Jagiełło, the director of Biblioteka Narodowa ( National Library ) in Warsaw . November 8 : Polish National Day at the Embassy and photo exhibit dedicated to I. J.Paderewski November 10 – 16.00 (American University) : meeting with Filip Bajon and his new production “ The Spring to Come “(“Przedwiośnie”). November 12 – 19.00 (Georgetown University) : presentation of “Citizens” – a documentary film by Richard Adams. Meeting with the Washington group of “Friends of Solidarity”. November 15 – 19.00 (Polish Embassy) : Presentation of documentary films on Ignacy J. Paderewski and piano concert .
