Bush signed a protocol on trade liberalisation between Poland and the U.S. and summed up
the work of a U.S.-Polish task team dealing the trade liberalisation, called up in result
of talks between Polish economy minister Janusz Steinhoff and the U.S. government's trade
representative Robert Zoellick at the turn on May and June.
The U.S. and Poland sealed accords liberalising air travel and trade between both countries. The agreements were officially signed by the U.S. ambassador in Poland and the Polish transport minister. Liberalisation in aviation will help boost competition and enable Polish air carriers to open direct routes to six U.S. airports by 2003, transport minister Jerzy Widzyk said. As of 2004, in accord with EU pre-access regulations, Polish air carriers are to have free access to all U.S. airports. u |
