The representatives of the Economic Section met on November 20, 2008 at the Embassy of Poland with 20 students from the Lynchburg College, Virginia, who came together with their professor Marek Payerhin in order to discuss issues related to Polish agricultural and renewable energy policies. The students presented a project of a European Union Simulation Resolution, in which they included proposals of regulations aiming at the development of biofules, wind turbine farms, environment protection and promoting organic farming in Poland. The simulation resolution provided a good basis for a debate on the Polish policy in the mentioned areas. Furthermore, each of the students represented one of the Polish members of the European Parliament, which gave a chance also for discussion of the political life in Poland and the standpoints of each of major Polish parties. The meeting was very well received by the students, who expressed a special interest in Poland, its political and economic situation and presented a vast knowledge on many Polish issues. Such form of communication proved to be a very useful tool for presenting Polish points of view on many important matters.
