A Message From the Polish Ambassador Dear Friend, If you are visiting this site you are - in a symbolic and virtual way - entering a piece of Polish territory in the heart of Washington DC. Vienna Conventions aside, it is by all means our goal to make our Embassy a true Polish Home for our friends and guests. Hospitality is an old Polish tradition. Since 1920 when this Embassy became Poland's diplomatic mission this tradition has been carefully cultivated. I do hope that the remarkable interior combined with the friendly atmosphere will give you a taste of Polish flavor. After all, what could be better than combining business with pleasure - from my perspective this is a best mixture for success and that is the guiding light for contemporary Polish - American relations.
